Descripción
Members of a subfamily containing about 50 living species in 16 genera, comprising long-tailed birds of open woodlands and fields, typically hunted for game. The males of most species are have brightly colored plumage, and the the females are plain. Pheasants are native to Asia, western Europe, and North America.
