Descripción

Class of deep-sea mollusks lacking a shell and but covered by solid or hollow aragonotic sclerites (spines). They are characterized by having a mouth with very complex salivary glands and a unique sense organ, the vestibulum. In some classifications the subclasses under this class, Solenogastres and Caudofoveata, are listed as separate classes in their own right.
