Wood of trees belonging to the genus Eucalyptus, native to Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, and nearby islands, used for fencing, construction, papermaking pulp, inexpensive furniture, and small turned items such as paintbrush handles. Most eucalyptus wood is durable but not dimensionally stable.
