Trademarked name for a sheer openweave monofilament polyester fabric produced until 2004. Stabiltex (TM) has been used as a support fabric in textile conservation, a polyester crepeline for covering fragile textiles. Tetex TR (TM), produced by Sefar, is essentially the same material.
