Parylene (TM)

Trademarked commercial name for a series of paraxylylene-based polymers used as a vapor-formed conformal coating highly resistant to organic solvents, inorganic reagents, and acids. Among its applications, Parylene is used as a protective coating in conservation of paper, photographs, book bindings, and other archival materials.
