Descripción
Gymnosperms that are related to the conifers but resembling palms and having affinity with tree-ferns. Characterized by a crown of large compound leaves and a stout trunk; examples exist in tropical and subtropical regions today, but they flourished in great variety and abundance during the Jurassic Period.
