Descripción

Genus containing two living species of trees, L. tulipifera, native to eastern North America, and L. chinense, native to China and Vietnam. Both species often grow to great size, sometimes exceeding 32 m (100 feet) in height. Various extinct species of Liriodeondron have been described from the fossil record.
