Descripción

Order containing around 87 species in two families, having a superficial resemblance to rodents in some ways. Characterized by long ears, a short tail, and strong hind limbs, or by shorter, rounded ears, no external tail, and less-well-developed hind limbs associated with scampering locomotion. Members of the order Lagomorpha, which includes rabbits, hares, and pikas.
