Descripción

Members of a species of very large, heavy, long-legged, short-necked ruminants with large distinctive palmate antlers; they inhabit the northern parts of North America and Eurasia. They are called "elk" in Europe, but the term "elk" refers to another animal, Cervus canadensis, in North America.
