Descripción
Members of a species of small parrot belonging to the tribe of the broad-tailed parrots. They are green and yellow in color, gregarious, monogamous, living in large colonies, are naturally distributed through Australia but introduced to several other semi-arid and sub-humid habitats around the world, and have been popular as a caged pet since the 19th century, existing in many color variations through breeding.
