Descripción
Members of a genus containing three species of large and economically important marine fish, some of which can change color at different water depths, may have distinct color phases, feed on mollusks, crabs, squid, small fish, starfish, and worms; some migrate south in winter to spawn. Other species of fish may have the word "cod" in their name, although they are not really cod.
