Descripción
Members of a genus containing freshwater invertebrate animals of very simple structure, the body having the form of a cylindrical tube, with a mouth surrounded by a ring of tentacles with stinging thread-cells, usually living attached to objects or plants, though able to float or move by cartwheeling from base to tentables; they reproduce by buds or eggs.
