Feltmakers

Generally any craftsperson involved in the manufacture of felt. The Worshipful Company of Feltmakers was one of the Livery Companies of London, makers of felt hats, incorporated in 1604. Current usage most often refers to artists and craftspeople who create sculptural or wearable objects from felted fibers, usually wool. For those who create works from fibrous material in general, use "fiber artists."
