Globalization

Refers to the global integration of economic, political, cultural and social institutions as motivated by objectives which include fostering international cooperation and coordination, universalizing regulatory standards, and enabling free flow of capital and free trade. The term is also used to imply the loss of national identity that globalization is perceived to bring.
