Domains

Locations on the Internet or any network that may contain sub-domains, and that are defined by a unique address. A domain is maintained by an individual or organization. A "domain name" is the part of the domain address that identifies any part of it as belonging to the domain. A "domain name server," or DNS, is the computer that contains the programs and files that populate the domain.
