Lignocellulose

A compound constituting the essential part of woody cell walls of plants in which cellulose fibril aggregates are embedded in a matrix material consisting of hemicelluloses and lignin. Lignocellulosic biomass is used as fuel and is the feedstock for the paper and pulp industry.
