Descripción
Remedies to counteract the effects of a poison, toxin, or an attack of disease. Administered by mouth, intravenously, or sometimes on the skin, antidotes work by causing an opposite effect in the body, whether directly neutralizing the poison, binding to the poison to prevent its absorption, or otherwise inactivating it or blocking its action.
