Bay leaves (seasoning)

Seasoning comprising the leaves of any of several species of trees in the families Lauraceae or Myrtaceae. Bay leaves were used for flavoring by the ancient Greeks; it is a staple seasoning in many European cuisines, particularly the Mediterranean cuisines.
