Green tea

Beverage of Asian origin derived from unfermented leaves, cut and steamed, of the plant Camellia sinensis; used for many medicinal applications as well as for refreshment. ‘Black tea’ is derived from the same plant. It is produced by allowing the leaves to oxidize.
