Capacity building

Support for developing countries, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to improve their ability to implement and observe goals and treaty or charter obligations. Capacity building focuses on identifying obstacles to success and developing strategies to overcome them. Capacity-building programs are generally supplied by multilateral and regional organizations, multilateral banks or bilateral programs.
