Ozonation

Treatment or impregnation of a substance or compound with ozone. Ozonation may be part of a purification process or used to induce a change in color as in ozone treatment of resonant wood to obtain the appearance of old wood, desirable in restoration of violins as well as for production of new musical instruments.
