Stable isotope analysis

Analytical method used in archaeology and petrography that characterizes stones by comparing isotopic ratios of elements such as oxygen, carbon, or sulfur. SIA has been used in geological evaluation of environmental variables impacting the chemical characteristics and isotopic composition of stone samples.
