Descripción

An ancient fabric creation technique that predates knitting and crochet; it involves braiding parallel threads with fixed threads on a frame. The term refers as well to the net-like fabric so produced. Sprang headgear, belts, and other artifacts dating from Bronze age onward have been found at archaeological sites in Scandinavia, Europe and Egypt.
