Descripción
The process of removing traces of hair debris, dirt, grease, and lime compounds from hide or skin after depilation and fleshing and before tanning. Traditionally done by hand with a curved, blunt-edged knife upon the skin or hide laid over a beam, today it is usually done by machine.
