Montage (image-making technique)

Refers to the technique of making compositions from portions of existing images, such as drawings or photographs, arranged into somewhat unified images. When pieces of various relatively flat materials are pasted together to form less unified images, use "collage." Used also in film when two or more shots are superimposed to form a single image.
