Descripción

Refers to a projection that represents a solid body on a plane, generally used in the context of projecting the Earth or other heavenly body on a plane in making maps. It is typically characterized by a projection of a hemisphere depicting the Earth's lines of latitude and longitude on a tangent plane, where radials are generated from a point on the surface of the sphere opposite to the point of tangency.
