Descripción

A traditional jewelry casting technique. The elliptical back plate or cuttlebone of the ordinary squid serves as the mold material. The desired pattern is carved into one half of the divided cuttlebone. The two halves are attached and heated metal is poured through a rounded channel cut into the top of the bone.
