Descripción

Celebrations of the eucharist by a number of priests at once. Together the priests say the eucharistic prayer or the words of consecration over the same bread and wine. The practice died out in the West except at ordinations, but it was revived in the Roman Catholic Church by Vatican II. It is sometimes used as a way to allow priests and congregations from churches out of communion with one another to have a eucharist together.
