Descripción
Species of herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean area, but cultivated for 2,000 years. It is widely cultivated for its bright pink-purple, fringe-petaled flowers, which often have a spicy fragrance. Cultivars occur in a variety of pink colors, yellow, green, and white.
