Descripción
Species of Eurasian tree around 30 m (100 feet) in height and having a grayish-white trunk and wavy-margined, wedge-shaped leaves up to 15 cm (6 inches) in length. It is sometimes classified as a subspecies of Fagus sylvatica, to which it is closely related.
