Descripción
Species of perennial water plant found in wetlands in Canada and the United States, including marshes and lakes. It has cylindrical stems growing to 2 m in height. The leaves are sheathed around the base of the stem; the flower inflorescence is a panicle of cone-shaped spikelets on thin branches.
