Descripción

Species of extinct early homonin who was at least partially bipedal and whose remains were found in the Ethiopia and Kenya; fossils date 4.2-3.9 mya million years ago. Characterized by slender build, strongly protruding face, and thickening of tooth enamel that becomes characteristic of all later hominins.
