Descripción

Members of a taxon of reptiles characterized by a pair of openings in the skull behind each eye (diapsid), having longer hind legs than front legs, some ancient forms had bipedal locomotion, some are semiaquatic with webbed feet, teeth in sockets, a single penis, and being egg-laying. Includes the extinct dinosaur group containing pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, thecodonts, and modern birds and crocodilians.
