Descripción

General term referring to numerous species of birds of prey in several genera in the family Accipitridae. Kites are characterized by a light build, small head, partialy bare face, short beak, long, narrow wings, and weak legs. They spend a great deal of time soaring. In general they feed on carrion but may also take live prey.
