Maskers, primarily of African descent, who masquerade as Native Americans for Carnival parades in various cities and nations including New Orleans, Toronto, London, Brooklyn, Brazil, and Haiti and other island nations of the Caribbean. They are renowned for their elaborate, vividly-colored, hand-made costumes.
