Generally, those employed in the business of making a consumer product directly or indirectly available to consumers; includes everyone in the chain of production and distribution, such as the manufacturers, wholesalers, distributers, and retailers. Specifically in the construction business, those who provide materials, equipment, and prefabricated parts to contractors, subcontractors, or owners, but who usually do not do any installation or labor.
