Descripción

Literally "Chinese floral motifs" or "Chinese flower designs", this pattern characteristically merges intricate floral motifs into geometric, frequently circular or diamond-shaped, designs. It was introduced to China from Japan as early as the Nara period (710-794) and is sometimes used interchangeably with "karakusa", meaning "Chinese grass motif".
