Descripción

Refers to the way of thinking, prominent in the 1960s and 1970s in America, associated with the rejection of stable, middle-class values and conservative attitudes in regard to fashion, politics, musical tastes, education, and social values. The movement is generally characterized by radical political beliefs, sexual liberation, provocative fashion styles, and drug use. In a limited sense, the movement also catalyzed the spirit of the civil rights and environmental movements of the 1960s.
