Descripción
The religious ideology that there is only one god, as opposed to polytheism and pantheism. Whereas facets of earlier cultures, such as the Egyptians, worshipped one god, a full long-term doctrine of monotheism developed first within Judaism and it remains a central part of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Muslims and Jews think that Christianity's belief in the three aspects of God, the Holy Trinity, denies monotheism.
