Indigenous religions

Refers to religions practiced in the past or present by aboriginal or tribal groups in various parts of the world; often the religion has no proper name per se, but is known by the name of the cultural group that practices it. Use of the term "indigenous religions" is typically limited to those outside the large or major religions, which have proper names.
