Descripción

Refers to the source of values, scholarly tradition, and social view inspired by the teachings of Confucius in the sixth century BCE in China. The belief system, based on understanding the past and conserving cultural traditions, exerted profound cultural influences in East Asia, dominating government, society, education, and family life in the region. It is characterized by its strong universal humanist philosophies; often, East Asians, in professing other religious affiliations such as Islam or Buddhism, seldom cease to be Confucians.
