Descripción
Originally in ancient Greece, a form of logical argumentation proceeding by question and answer. In modern times it is the idea that internal contradictions are transcended, but then give rise to new contradictions that themselves must be resolved. As a concept of evolution, it applies to diverse fields including philosophy, nature, and history.
