Describes works created by the Marquesan people of Marquesas Islands. The Marquesan people are known to highly specialize in particular art works or techniques, such as carving statues; clubs and fan handles; building houses and canoes; tattoo design; and making ornaments. The Marquesan people produced such highly exceptional tattoo design that it became common for men to tattoo their entire bodies.
