Descripción

Describes the artwork created by the inhabitants of Malaita Island. The people of Malaita are known for creating figures that combined human and animal characteristics, such as a shark with human limbs. Although the Malaita people created the figures in this manner, the general style in the southern islands was more naturalistic in human proportions and features.
