Descripción

Engraved design motif or pattern featuring bold, angular lines contrasted with delicate, organic shapes. They are found on canoe prows, headrests, bamboo quivers, and on korwar carved figures, which often have enlarged heads in proportion with their squatting bodies. Objects bearing korwar style designs are often used during funerary rites in order to maintain contact with ancestors.
