Descripción
Refers to the style of architecture and decorative arts on the Iberian peninsula under Muslim rule, roughly between the eighth and the 15th centuries. The style is characterized by Islamic forms and motifs such as Kufic inscriptions, animal motifs, and scrolling acacia leaves. The term is sometimes used to refer specifically to Spanish pottery, tiles, and other ceramics produced during this period, particularly those with luster pigments.
