Descripción

Refers to the style of European and American interior design and decorative arts inspired by the archaeological findings at Pompeii and Herculaneum in the mid-18th century. Influenced especially by the frescoes at Pompeii, the style features nymphs, grapevines, candelabra, and grotesques rendered in delicate borders and patterns in deep, clear colors.
