Descripción
Refers to the style of painting centered in Pont Aven between 1886 and 1890 whose proponents advocated the simplification of form and painting from memory in order to create meaning. Accordingly, the style is characterized by simple, strongly contoured forms, flat, unmodeled color, and the arrangement of color and forms into harmonious patterns.
