Descripción
Refers to the early stages of the Byzantine period that began when the Emperor Constantine made the city of Byzantium the new capital of the Roman Empire in 330 CE. The style is sometimes grouped with Early Christian art, because there was at that time no official split between the eastern and western Roman empires.
