Descripción
Refers to the period and style of art, predominantly sculpture, that coincided with the rule of the Tetrarchs during the second half of the 3rd centry CE. The style is characterized by work executed in poryphyry with an almost total disappearance of physical likeness and anatomical structure, and an emphasis on the expressive function of the eyes.
